New Brand Alert! Areaware Puzzle Drop—March 27th

New brand alert! Get excited, you’re about to see three puzzles from Areaware! Areaware is the latest brand to join our vast collection of puzzles. This brand specializes in creating uniquely-designed homeware objects and décor, but they also produce a few sets of jigsaw puzzles featuring their interesting designs.

Areaware is driven by a desire to create fun, artful, and unique products, so get ready to see some out-of-the-box, colorful, and whimsical puzzles!

The Designer

The independent designer behind each of these new puzzles is Dusen Dusen. They are a clothing and home goods brand founded by designer Ellen Van Dusen in 2010. The brand is known for its colorful and geometric prints, which are often inspired by fine art, commercial and cultural graphics, and nature.

The brand has collaborated with a number of companies, including West Elm, Hay, Keds, and now Areaware to create special collections. Dusen Dusen and Areaware came together to create this line of "pattern puzzles", which are colorful jigsaw puzzles that feature the brand's signature designs. These puzzles are available in a range of sizes and difficulty levels and are a fun and engaging way to enjoy Dusen Dusen's unique aesthetic. Their puzzle pieces are made of glossy art paper but are thick and sturdy to keep the pieces fitting together nicely! We have a 1000-piece puzzle and two 500-piece puzzles to introduce to you.

Pattern Puzzle

Pattern Puzzle, 1000 piece puzzle

First up from Areaware is the 1000-piece, Pattern Puzzle, from their puzzle series of the same name. Don’t be intimidated by this design! I know it looks challenging and a difficult puzzle to complete, but it has distinct colors and patterns to help the puzzling process go smoothly.

The pattern puzzles are designed to be visually stimulating and challenging, with bold colors and intricate patterns that require close attention to detail. They are made from high-quality materials and feature unique shapes and pieces, adding an extra level of complexity to the puzzle-solving experience. If you’re a lover of bold fine art-inspired design puzzles, then you’ll definitely enjoy doing Pattern Puzzle through your Completing the Puzzle membership.

Lenticular

Lenticular, 500 piece puzzle

Next from the ‘Pattern Puzzle’ series by Areaware is Lenticular. This is a 500-piece sister puzzle to the previous one we mentioned. They are similar in their design concept—a dynamic image that appears to shift and move as you change your viewing angle. This puzzle features a vibrant and colorful abstract design made from high-quality materials that fit together smoothly and securely.

At 18 x 24 in, this puzzle is considerably smaller than its similarly designed 1000-piece Pattern Puzzle, which measures 20 x 28 in when completed. We know some Completing the Puzzle members have limited puzzling space and like to know the assembled size of the puzzle before adding it to their puzzle wishlist.

The great thing about these two puzzles from Areaware is that we have two similarly designed puzzles in different sizes. If you loved the previous puzzle but were unsure about the puzzle size, we’ve got you covered. Lenticular is slightly different from Pattern Puzzle, but just as fun and half the piece count to make for easy puzzling!

Arc

Arc, 500 piece puzzle

We saved the best for last. Arc is the second new 500-piece puzzle from Areaware available in our catalog to rent. If you’re a fan of cool designs and challenging puzzles, you have to try this funky abstract puzzle! The wavy shapes in this puzzle create an optical illusion, elevating your puzzling experience. While completing Arc, the shapes will begin to create depth and play with your perceptions as you continue piecing the design together.

Arc is going to be the perfect puzzle choice for the art-loving, avid puzzling person who doesn’t mind a bit of a challenge. Try not to get too frustrated with the repeating shapes and solid color pieces when you’re completing this puzzle! We love this unique puzzle and can’t wait to see what our members think about it too! Grab a friend and get started on your next puzzle!

As always, make sure you’re adding the new puzzles we’ve recently made available to your wishlist! It’s the easiest way to ensure we're able to send you the types of puzzles you’ll love completing!

Just to remind you, it’s not always guaranteed you’ll get a puzzle from your wishlist, as we have many more members than copies of a specific puzzle. When it is time to pack your puzzle, one from your wishlist will be chosen first if it is available. However, if no puzzle from your wishlist is available, a puzzle will be chosen using your default level and theme preferences.

At Completing the Puzzle, we're always adding new puzzles - and brands - that members can add to their wishlist. Plus, you can also specify your desired difficulty level and build a wish list of the puzzles you want to receive. When you’re done with a puzzle, simply ship it back to us and we’ll send off your next one.
