New Spooktacular Puzzle Alert - August 29th

This isn’t a trick, we’ve got FIVE new Halloween puzzles for you to add to your wishlist right now! Plus two bonus Halloween puzzles making their yearly return to the catalog!

We know it’s only August, but who doesn’t love getting a head start on the spooky festivities?! I know I do! Get ready to celebrate Halloween, Completing the Puzzle style. We’ve got the perfect puzzles to help you kickstart that Halloween spirit—enjoy!

Halloween Pets - Eurographics

Pets + Halloween costumes = the perfect combination. This is Halloween Pets by Eurographics Puzzles! It’s a 1000-piece puzzle for all our expert Completing the Puzzle members who love a challenge! Seriously, get ready to be puzzled by it, there’s SO much detail. I love all of the costumes on the cats and dogs, but I think my favorite is the little bumblebee bulldog in the center!

I think the most fun part of this puzzle, though, would be trying to count how many pumpkins you can find in the image once it’s completed. This puzzle could also be some good inspiration for your Halloween costumes, and you could even get matching outfits for you and your pet!

Halloween Treats - Eurographics

Here’s our next Halloween puzzle addition to the Completing the Puzzle catalog! Halloween Treats is another 1000-piece puzzle from Eurographics Puzzles. They make the best collage puzzle images and this one is so cute (and definitely not too scary)! I love Halloween for all the candy and sweet treats I can eat, so this puzzle is making me want to make some spooky cookies or cupcakes!

I might be alone here, but I don’t like candy corn! Is that a controversial Halloween treats opinion? What’s your favorite treat from this puzzle?

Escape from the Haunted House - MasterPieces

The last new 1000-piece puzzle we have for you today is a vintage puzzle from MasterPieces called Escape from the Haunted House! Where do I begin with this puzzle?! There’s so much to take in when you first look at it, I wouldn’t know where to start puzzling it! Personally, I’m not the biggest scary movie or haunted house fan, but if you are, then this puzzle is probably perfect for you!

It’s got scary ghosts, bats, vampires, mummies, and so much more to find while completing. Beware the skull with snakes coming out of its eyes and the werewolf you may encounter while puzzling! I love this style of interactive horror puzzling and we think you will too!

Day of the Dead - Dowdle Folk Art

For our intermediate-level puzzlers, we have this Day of the Dead puzzle from Dowdle. I know, I know, last week’s new puzzles were all Dowdle, but I had to include this one in today’s new puzzles! It depicts a beautiful scene of a Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration that usually takes place on November 2 after Halloween. It’s an important tradition that many people celebrate as a way to reunite and connect with the spirits of their family members or friends who have passed away for a few days.

I love learning about the celebrations of other cultures and you will learn so much about the Day of the Dead tradition from this puzzle!

Heartland Witches' Brew- MasterPieces

This is the last new puzzle we have for you today, but don’t worry…there’s a surprise at the end of this post that will probably get you excited, so keep reading!

This puzzle is Heartland Witches Brew, a 300-piece beginner-level puzzle by Masterpieces. It has a more Autumn, cozy feel to it than the other Halloween puzzles we’ve shown you, but there are kids trick or treating in the background of this image—so it still counts as a Halloween puzzle. I love puzzles with Folk-art style images and this one is a 10/10 for me! You’ve got the spooky jack-o-lanterns spread around the houses in the grass, a hay ride guided by a man with a pumpkin head, and some witches brewing up a potion! How fun! There are so many vibrant colors in this puzzle, which also happens to be one of my favorite parts about the Fall—seeing the leaves changing colors into a ‘rainbow’ of orange, green, and yellows!

Bonus Puzzles:

Halloween Cookies - Cobble Hill Puzzles

More Halloween sweet treats! If you’ve been a Completing the Puzzle member since last year, you may remember Halloween Cookies by Cobble Hill. We will usually retire some of the holiday-specific puzzles once that holiday season has passed, but that just means more anticipation for Halloween the next year when we bring the puzzles back for you all! This 350 piece puzzle is great for families, as it has both large and small pieces so that puzzlers of different levels can enjoy together.

So, while this is not a new puzzle for us, it may be a new puzzle for you and we hope you enjoy puzzling this week’s bonus puzzle! Warning: it may make you want to bake some delicious spooky cookies, so use caution when puzzling!

Tobler's Pumpkin Patch- Dowdle Folk Art

Another Dowdle-favorite Halloween puzzle returning this year as your second bonus puzzle: Tobler’s Pumpkin Patch! I love going to pumpkin patches in the Fall and picking out that perfect pumpkin to make my jack-o-lantern out of. I’ve never been to such a lively pumpkin patch like this one in this puzzle, though. It’s making me want to find a local one that looks this fun sometime soon! Enjoy the quirky Dowdle elements that you’re sure to find in any of those puzzles we have!

How excited are you to add all of our newest Halloween puzzles to your wishlists?! I think we’ve given you a good mix of scary Halloween puzzles (Escape from the Haunted House) and cute Halloween puzzles (Halloween Pets). Leave a comment telling us which of our newly-added Halloween puzzles you will be adding to your wishlist!

As a reminder, you may not always get a puzzle from your wishlist, as we have many more members than copies of a specific puzzle. When it is time to pack your puzzle, one from your wishlist will be chosen first if it is available. However, if no puzzle from your wishlist is available, a puzzle will be chosen using your default level and theme preferences. The more puzzles on your wishlist, the more likely you will be to receive one! And don't forget, we’re always adding more puzzles to the catalog, so stay tuned for our next blog post with even more new puzzles!

At Completing the Puzzle, we have the largest collection of rentable puzzles, so there’s something for every day of the year.
