After completing 500-piece puzzle “The Catstornaut,” I was excited to complete another puzzle from Unified Pieces! Black Girl Magic Volume 2 has 1,000 pieces and is recommended for an expert-level puzzler. This was a fun image to sort and build because of the vibrant colors and the varying shapes on the background.
Once sorted, there are two main options for how to begin (after the edges of course). Some might begin with the background due to the contrasting colors and shapes. The other option is to begin with the beautiful photographed woman. This is more challenging, but results in stunning progress photos! I chose to start with the woman, as you can see in the photographs. It was a slow start to assemble the puzzle this way, and felt like climbing a mountain. Once I reached the peak, it was much faster and rewarding to finish on the colorful background.
This puzzle was assembled in one very long sitting. It might take a few sessions to complete depending on your available time, puzzling experience, and speed.
