Hello, puzzle friends! It’s your resident puzzle nerd, Joyce (@joyce.puzzles) here. When Completing the Puzzle asked me to pick my top ten puzzles from their catalog, I could not imagine how I would whittle down more than 1,500 puzzles to just ten of my faves. So, I’ll just say these are my top ten for now. CTP is always adding new puzzles, so I’m sure I’ll have some new favorites later down the line.
Some of these I’ve assembled and loved, and some I haven’t done yet but I’m chomping at the bit for a chance to work on them. So without further ado, here are my top ten in no particular order. It was hard enough to pick just ten; no way could I rank them!
Every time I see this image, I’m just as excited about wanting to puzzle it as the first time I saw it. The color palette is so soft, dreamy and relaxing with the pops of red injecting some energy. It’s just such a vibe. I haven’t had a chance to assemble it yet but it’s been on my wishlist for a long time. And I can always count on Galison’s great fit and quality.
Dogs and cake and love? Yes, please! I also used to live in Las Vegas and put together this puzzle while I was there, so it really felt like this puzzle was created especially for me. Pezel puzzles have a soft touch, luxurious feel to their pieces, plus a glare-free finish, so this was an absolute pleasure to work on.
I adore the vintage Vogue covers that NYPC turns into puzzles! This one is so beautiful and quirky and was a good balance of challenge. The random cut helped with the harder sections like the background and the zebra stripes.
Rainbow gradients are some of my most relaxing puzzles. I don’t think I can ever get sick of them. I’ve only done up to 1000 pieces for these types of puzzles, but I hope to one day do a 5000-piece gradient, so I think doing a 2000-piece first would be a good way to work my way up to it!
How stunning is this? This is by artist Olga Suvorova and I’m on a mission to do all of the puzzles featuring her art. Art and Fable puzzles are super high quality with a velvet touch, matte finish that still captures very rich colors. I first discovered this brand through Completing the Puzzle when I rented another one of their puzzles (Tailor), and they instantly became a favorite brand.
The bright, vibrant colors in this make me so happy and I love how odd it is. It feels like one of those puzzles where you could just keep going and finish in one sitting because there’s always some element you can find to work on. This one’s also been on my wishlist for a while.
This is one of my favorite brands and what a gorgeous puzzle from them! The colors, the lines - just lovely. Their quality is top notch with a soft touch and matte finish. This puzzle is from their debut collection and has random cut pieces. I still haven’t had a chance to work on this yet but am so excited to!
The third Cloudberries on my list! What can I say, I have a type. I just remember this being one of the most fun puzzles I’ve ever done. With the distinct blocks of colors, you can make a lot of progress quickly, then you get a bit more of a challenge with the hands and having to pay attention to the details of what those hands are holding.
Another one that’s just pure fun. With all the different colors, patterns and text, it combines some of my favorite elements to puzzle. And when you take a closer look, the titles of the books might give you a little giggle. This is one of the earlier puzzles I did when I first really got into puzzles around 2022. It was a favorite then and continues to be a favorite today.
While I’ve done several puzzles by Happily before, this one is still on my to-do list and I’m so looking forward to it. Happily is based in the UK and their puzzles are sturdy with a great fit, with very fun images. I love the idea of building each bottle individually then connecting everything together at the end.
